Graham Boosey

Graham is from the tropical paradise of Southend on Sea, Essex, England where he lives with his very patient and understanding wife Amanda.

Back in 1993 his Dad took him to Roots Hall to watch his first football match, Southend v Luton Town, which immediately set off his deep passion for football. This, combined with his desire to find the purest form of his hobbies and interests, led to a lifelong love of Non-League and Park football.

It also means he ventures down many internet rabbit holes trying to answer the question “I wonder what the worst standard of football is in any given country”?

He has combined his love of football with his biggest passion, namely his faith. Football was a big catalyst in his faith journey, in part sparked by the excellent book “Thank God for Football!” by Peter Lupson, which led to the creation of the Saturday Service Podcast.

He’d love to give an interesting account of his life outside of the above but alas, there is no way he can make it sound exciting. He loves beige food, brown drink and early emo and post-hardcore music, even though the latter now makes him feel old and experience lower back pain.
