Jonas is based in Cologne, Germany and is the photographer behind Fading Floodlights.

He photographs fan and football culture from his own personal perspective. He is less interested in the game itself than in what happens before, beside and after it; The waiting outside the stadium, glances in the stands, and collective moments that can’t be planned.

Much of this takes place away from the pitch and yet feels central to how we experience football. Modern football is becoming faster, polished and increasingly commercialised. Shooting football on film is a conscious counterpoint for Jonas; the process is slower, more direct. Tt forces Jonas to look closer at the marginal moments that would disappear otherwise.
