Brian has a long history with football, all the way back to the late '80s, when his father used to drag him around the lower league grounds of Scottish football following his beloved Stranraer.

Since then Brian has continued this travel, extending to much more exotic locations. Since 2021, he has been conducting PhD research into 'Media Representations of League of Ireland Soccer.'

For Brian, football is about much more than following a team. It is about the community you are from, it defines relationships, often a reflection of the society we live in, defining and shaping our identity and bridging gaps between cultures
