Colin is a retired civil servant, having clocked up 41 years and one week of turning up most days. He developed his passion for writing about football during the last two years of his working career, when he started to work part-time. He now has even more time to indulge his passion.

Colin has written one book - ‘Super Squad’ - published in October 2024. It tells the story of the 23 domestic players from the 1960s and 70s, who, in Colin’s opinion, had the greatest influence on the game.

His second book, ‘Super Squad Scotland’, will be a celebration of Scotland’s greatest ever players. The book is written in tribute to Scotland’s magnificent efforts to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
